Oct. 12 (Bloomberg) -- Sony Corp. will offer repairs to some of its Bravia model television sets in Japan after discovering a defect which could lead to fires.
The repairs affect 189,000 liquid-crystal display televisions sold since Sept. 2007, according to a statement on Sony’s website today. The company is investigating the cause of the defect, it said.
