Oct. 13 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies may be active in Russian trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are from the previous close, unless noted otherwise.
The 30-stock Micex Index climbed 2.4 percent to 1,396.51.
OAO Raspadskaya (RASP RX): Russia’s fifth-largest producer of coal for steelmakers is set to release a third quarter trading update. Raspadskaya gained 1.1 percent to 82.16 rubles.
OAO GMK Norilsk Nickel (GMKN RM): The world’s largest producer of the metal plans to press ahead with a share buyback even after the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service said the program may require state approval. Shares lost 0.8 percent to 6,284 rubles.
OAO Rosneft (ROSN RX): Oil fell in New York, snapping the longest run of gains this year, on speculation fuel demand will slow as the U.S. and Europe struggle to shore up their faltering economies. Russia’s biggest oil producer gained 3.2 percent to 198.09 rubles.
