Kotthaus Says Will Wait for For EBA Proposals on Recapitalizing

Oct. 12 (Bloomberg) -- Germany is awaiting proposals from the European Union’s top banking regulator, the European Banking Authority, before it moves ahead with details of a plan to recapitalize the region’s banks, Finance Ministry spokesman Martin Kotthaus told reporters today in Berlin.

Banks should use their own means to recapitalize at first and be equipped for “all eventualities,” Kotthaus said.
