Oct. 12 (Bloomberg) -- Hungarian shares rose for a third straight day, led by gains in OTP Bank Nyrt., Hungary’s largest lender. The forint appreciated.
The benchmark BUX index of shares rallied 1.1 percent to 17,196 by 10:26 a.m. in Budapest. OTP, which has a 27 percent weighting in the BUX, jumped 1.8 percent to 3,360 forint. Hungary’s currency strengthened 0.5 percent to 293.6 per euro.
