Ford to Resume Passenger Car Output at Thai Plant in Rayong

October 12, 2011

Oct. 13 (Bloomberg) -- Ford Motor Co. said it will resume production of passenger cars at its plant in Thailand’s Rayong province, following a 48-hour shutdown.

Ford suspended production at the plant to assess inventory and logistics after some parts suppliers in Ayutthaya province were forced to close factories because of flooding, the company said Oct. 11

Production of pickup trucks at the plant will “remain suspended at this time,” Ford said today in an e-mailed statement.
