Oct. 11 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. District Judge Jed Rakoff in New York agreed to consider the validity of a $267 million lawsuit brought by the liquidator of Bernard L. adoff’s firm against a unit of ABN Amro Bank NV, according to a court filing today.
The Dutch bank asked the judge to take over its case, filed in bankruptcy court by Madoff trustee Irving Picard, citing a higher court’s ruling on limits to the power of bankruptcy judges.
