Oct. 11 (Bloomberg) -- Revenue collection in Burundi surged 43 percent to 44 billion francs ($34.6 million) in September from a year earlier, the Burundi Revenue Authority said.

The amount collected was 22 percent above target, the Bujumbura-based agency said in a statement on its website today.
