Philippines Offers to Buy Back $1.5 Billion of Dollar Debt

Oct. 10 (Bloomberg) -- The Philippines has started accepting offers for a buyback of $1.5 billion of dollar- denominated bonds, Finance Undersecretary Rosalia de Leon said in Manila today.

Around $17 billion of debt is eligible for the buyback and the government will announce the result of the offer on Oct. 14, de Leon said.
