Nigerian Central Bank Raises Key Interest Rate to 12%

Oct. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Nigeria’s central bank increased its key lending rate by 275 basis points to 12 percent, Governor Lamido Sanusi told reporters in Abuja in comments that were broadcast by Johannesburg-based CNBC Africa.

The median forecast of 11 economists in a Bloomberg survey was for the rate to rise to 10.25 percent
