MEMC Sells 33 Megawatts of Solar Plants in Italy, Spain to KGAL

Oct. 10 (Bloomberg) -- MEMC Electronic Materials Inc. sold solar energy projects in Italy and Spain with total capacity of 33 megawatts to KGAL GmbH.

The projects were developed by MEMC’s SunEdison unit, the St. Peters, Missouri-based maker of silicon for solar cells said today in a statement. MEMC also sold projects with capacity of 20 megawatts to KGAL in the second quarter, a total of 12 power plants. SunEdison will maintain and operate all of them.
