Yemen’s Saleh to Hold Power Until After Elections, Jazeera Says

Oct. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Yemen’s President Ali Abdullah Saleh will remain in power until elections and will only resign under the framework of a Gulf Cooperation Council initiative, Al Jazeera television said today, citing Abdu al-Janadi, deputy information minister.

Saleh said earlier today he will step down from power within a few days, Al Arabiya television reported.
