Oct. 6 (Bloomberg) -- The 30-stock Micex Index climbed 4.2 percent to 1,318.29 at the 6:45 p.m. close in Moscow. The dollar-denominated RTS Index gained 4.5 percent to 1,271.71.
The following were among the most active stocks in the Russian market today. Stock symbols are in parenthesis.
OAO Raspadskaya (RASP RX) jumped the most since May 2010 after Evraz Group SA (EVR LI) said it discontinued talks on a potential sale of its stake in the Russian coal producer. Raspadskaya’s shares surged 10 percent to 80.64 rubles. Evraz shares added 6 percent in London trading to $14.15.
OAO Rosneft (ROSN RX) and OAO Lukoil (LKOH RX) climbed 6.4 percent to 186.14 rubles and 2.6 percent to 1,588.70 rubles, respectively. Russia’s two largest oil companies advanced as crude gained 1.2 percent to $80.64 a barrel in New York.
