Euro Weaker Versus Dollar as Trichet Sees Growing Downside Risks

Oct. 6 (Bloomberg) -- The euro stayed weaker against the dollar and the yen after European Central Bank President Jean- Claude Trichet said the economy is facing “intensified downside risks.”

The 17-nation currency fell 0.4 percent to $1.3293 as of 1:47 p.m. in London, and dropped 0.5 percent to 102.03 yen.
