Oct. 6 (Bloomberg) -- The Australian and New Zealand dollars strengthened, erasing earlier losses versus their U.S. counterpart.
The so-called Aussie fetched 96.82 U.S. cents at 5:22 p.m. in Sydney from 96.59 cents yesterday in New York, after falling as low as 96.22 cents. The New Zealand dollar bought 76.68 U.S. cents from 76.62. It previously touched 76.25 cents.
