Oct. 5 (Bloomberg) -- German Chancellor Angela Merkel said private creditors may need to increase their contribution to the proposed second bailout for Greece.
A July 21 accord by European Union leaders includes “the participation of private creditors,” Merkel said at a news conference in Brussels today. “Now we need to see if the current economic data still jibe with those decisions. If needed, there will be an adjustment” after international auditors deliver their next report on Greece’s finances.
