Oct. 5 (Bloomberg) -- Cummins Inc. needs to add 7,000 engineers within five years, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Theodore Solso said today at a Bloomberg Innovation and Jobs Forum in Washington.

The Columbus, Indiana-based maker of diesel and natural gas engines also manufactures electric power generation systems.
