Oct. 5 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies are having unusual price changes in Bogota trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 1:19 p.m. New York time.
The IGBC Index rose 0.8 percent to 12,675.80 while the Colcap Index gained 0.6 percent to 1,577.45.
Canacol Energy Ltd. (CNEC CB), the Calgary-based oil company that operates fields in South America, rose 5.6 percent to 1,130 pesos. Oil rose for the first time in four days after the U.S. government reported an unexpected stockpile decline in the world’s biggest crude-consuming country.
Empresa de Energia de Bogota SA (EEB CB), Colombia’s second-biggest electricity distributor, fell 0.8 percent to 1,315 pesos. The company will sell 700 billion pesos ($356 million) of shares at 1,300 pesos each as soon as tomorrow, Monica de Greiff, the company’s president, told the daily Portafolio.
