Oct. 4 (Bloomberg) -- Greek Finance Minister Evangelos Venizelos said Greece is and will remain a member of the euro area and that there was no discussion of a default at a meeting of euro area finance ministers yesterday.
Venizelos said a deal was reached with Finland to provide collateral under the terms of a second financing package for the country. He said the state will provide bonds to Greek banks as part of the deal. He commented in Athens in statements broadcast live on state-run NET TV.
