Oct. 4 (Bloomberg) -- Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou spoke with German Chancellor Angela Merkel today and discussed developments in Europe and the euro area, according to an e-mailed statement from Papandreou’s office in Athens.
The discussion also reviewed the course of implementing the July 21 second financing package for Greece and talks on this yesterday at the meeting of euro area finance ministers, according to the statement. The call was made at Merkel’s initiative, the statement said.
