New Zealand Condemns Japanese Whaling Program in Southern Ocean

Oct. 5 (Bloomberg) -- New Zealand’s government has condemned Japan’s decision to resume whaling in the Southern Ocean, according to an e-mailed statement from Foreign Affairs Minister Murray McCully. The decision is “disrespectful” of strong concerns expressed by the Australian and New Zealand people, he said in the statement.
