Oct. 4 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Bogota trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 4 p.m. New York time.
The IGBC Index rose 0.5 percent to 12,579.23 while the Colcap Index increased 1.1 percent to 1,567.69.
Cementos Argos SA (CEMARGOS CB), Colombia’s biggest cement maker, rose 1.9 percent to 10,760 pesos. The company said it completed its $760 million purchase of U.S. assets of Lafarge SA, the world’s biggest cement producer, according to a regulatory filing.
Ecopetrol SA (ECOPETL CB), Colombia’s largest oil company, rose 3.5 percent to 3,885 pesos. The company said it found oil in the Trasgo-1 well in the Cano Sur block with average production of 120 barrels per day, according to a regulatory filing yesterday.
