Oct. 3 (Bloomberg) -- Russia’s AFK Sistema said it plans to start “immediately” buying its ordinary shares and global depositary receipts.

Sistema is also considering purchases of OAO Mobile TeleSystems’ ordinary shares and or American depositary receipts. The total value of these purchases will be as much as $100 million.
