Oct. 3 (Bloomberg) -- Irish home prices fell by an average of 3.5 percent in the third quarter, according to a report published by property website Daft.ie. today.

That compares to a fall of just over 5 percent between March and June. The average asking price for a dwelling is now just under 195,000 euros, compared to 366,000 euros at the 2007 peak, according to the report.

In Dublin, asking prices fell by an average of 4.5 percent in the three months to September, with prices now 55 percent below the peak in some parts of the city, according to Daft.ie.
