Oct. 3 (Bloomberg) -- Evercore Partners Inc., the investment bank founded by former deputy U.S. Treasury secretary Roger Altman, hired Tim Main as a senior adviser to focus on financial-services clients.
Main spent 23 years at JPMorgan Chase & Co. and recently ran the bank’s North American Financial Institutions group and was co-head of the global unit, New York-based Evercore said today in a statement. He will be based in New York.
Evercore has advised on $95.3 billion in announced transactions this year, ranking it 12th on the M&A league tables, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
“Tim is a highly regarded adviser to large, multinational financial services companies and has a stellar track record, helping to build a leading FIG franchise at his previous firm,” Altman, 65, said in the statement.
