Oct. 3 (Bloomberg) -- Bank Indonesia relieved Deputy Governor Budi Mulya of his role as head of the central bank’s monetary policy operations as of the end of last month, Difi Johansyah, a spokesman at Bank Indonesia, said by telephone today.
Deputy governors Halim Alamsyah and Hartadi Sarwono will assume Mulya’s role, Johansyah said. The decision was earlier reported by the Wall Street Journal. Alamsyah will lead the central bank’s monetary policy operations and Sarwono will lead its foreign-exchange reserve management, Johansyah said.
