Philippine Rice Damage Due to Storm Rises to 448,469 Tons

Oct. 3 (Bloomberg) -- The Philippines lost 448,469 tons of rough rice due to Typhoon Nesat, according to a report provided by the Department of Agriculture today.

The losses account for 6.9 percent of the nation’s third- quarter production target of 6.508 million tons, the report said.
