Sept. 30 (Bloomberg) -- The Portuguese government will need more measures to meet this year’s budget deficit target, said Luis Morais Sarmento, the secretary of state for the budget.
The government is confident it will meet the targets, he said in parliament today. Portugal aims to trim the deficit to 5.9 percent of gross domestic product in 2011.
