Sept. 30 (Bloomberg) -- Peter Westaway, chief European economist at Nomura Holdings Inc. in London, said he has resigned from the bank.

Westaway, a former Bank of England official, declined to comment further by telephone today. A spokeswoman for Nomura in London confirmed his departure, and declined to comment further.
