Hungary Forint Basic Trend Points to More Gains, Patai Says

Sept. 30 (Bloomberg) -- The Hungarian forint is set to strengthen in the long-term, Mihaly Patai, head of the Hungarian Banking Association said.

“The basic trend of the forint points toward more gains going forward,” Patai said at a conference in Budapest today. Exhcange rate “swings” are likely to take place, with volatility caused primarily by global economic events, he said.
