Germany Doesn’t See Further EFSF Boost, Roesler Says

September 30, 2011

Sept. 30 (Bloomberg) -- German lawmakers won’t support any further increase in its guarantees for the euro area’s rescue fund, the European Financial Stability Facility, Economy Minister Philipp Roesler said.

Parliament would have to approve any boost and “I don’t see any inclination there to change the ceiling yet again, or to increase the guarantees in some other way, for instance by leveraging,” Roesler said on ARD television today.
