BOJ’s Shirakawa Says Fiscal Conditions Restrain Policy Stimulus

September 30, 2011

Sept. 30 (Bloomberg) -- Bank of Japan Governor Masaaki Shirakawa said “deteriorations” in advanced economies’ fiscal conditions are restraining policy stimulus measures.

“This is further undermining the already fragile recovery process,” Shirakawa said, according to a transcript of a speech in Seoul today. He also said that conditions are “not exactly favorable” for the global economy as a whole.
