Dale Says Inflation May Exceed 5% Before Slowing, Mail Says

September 29, 2011

Sept. 29 (Bloomberg) -- Bank of England Chief Economist Spencer Dale said U.K. inflation could exceed 5 percent in coming months before slowing “very sharply” next year, the Daily Mail said. The newspaper cited an interview.

“My expectation is that it will rise to over 5 per cent over the next few months and that is largely baked in the cake,” the paper cited him as saying.
