Sept. 29 (Bloomberg) -- The Brazilian government is studying tax breaks to manufacturers of notebook and laptop computers, televisions and cellular phones, Science and Technology Minister Aloizio Mercadante told reporters in Brasilia.
The tax breaks would be similar to what has already been given to tablet makers, Mercadante said.
Apple Inc.’s iPads and iPhones will start being produced in Brazil starting in December, the minister said.
