Sept. 27 (Bloomberg) -- Miramax, the closely held owner of films such as “Shakespeare in Love,” reached a multiyear agreement to provide its films to Hulu LLC subscribers in Japan.

Beginning immediately, Hulu subscribers in Japan will be able to instantly watch Miramax movies on Internet-connected TVs, Blu-ray players and and game consoles, in addition to PCs, tablets and smartphones, Santa Monica, California-based Miramax said today in a statement. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
