Mexico Stocks: Asur Gains; Chedraui, Soriana Shares Decline

Sept. 28 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Mexico trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 4 p.m. New York time.

The IPC index fell 1 percent to 33,438.16.

Grupo Financiero Banorte SAB (GFNORTEO MM), a Mexican lender, advanced 2.6 percent to 40.96 pesos. The bank had its recommendation raised to “buy” from “hold” at Citigroup Inc.

Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste SAB (ASURB MM), the operator of airports in southern Mexico, climbed 2.6 percent to 69.98 pesos. The company had its recommendation raised to “overweight” from “neutral” at HSBC Holdings Plc.

Grupo Comercial Chedraui SA (CHDRAUIB MM), the supermarket chain based in Xalapa, Mexico, fell 2.6 percent to 34.47 pesos. The company was rated “underweight” in new coverage at Barclays Capital.

Organizacion Soriana SAB (SORIANAB MM), Mexico’s second- largest grocery store chain, declined 1.7 percent to 29.10 pesos. The company was rated “underweight” in new coverage at Barclays Capital.
