India’s Rupee Strengthens Past 49 a Dollar to One-Week High

Sept. 28 (Bloomberg) -- India’s rupee strengthened past 49 per dollar to the highest level in a week.

The currency rose 0.2 percent to 48.9850 as of 10:28 a.m. in Mumbai, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. It touched 48.9725 earlier, the strongest since Sept. 22.
