Ecuador Budget to Rise 8.6 Percent in 2012, Ministry Says

Sept. 28 (Bloomberg) -- Ecuador’s budget will increase by 8.6 percent next year to about $26 billion, Victor Carvajal, a spokesman for the South America nation’s Finance Ministry said.

Ecuador, South America’s seventh-biggest economy, hasn’t said how much it needs to finance public spending or provided growth estimates, Carvajal said today in a telephone interview from Quito.
