Belgian Coalition Negotiators to Start Budget Talks Next Week

Sept. 28 (Bloomberg) -- Belgian coalition negotiators will start budget talks next week, Elio Di Rupo, the president of the French-speaking Socialist Party leading the eight-party talks, said in an e-mailed statement after meeting with Prime Minister Yves Leterme.

Di Rupo reiterated that the goal is to reduce the budget deficit to 2.8 percent of gross domestic product next year and balance the country’s budget by 2015.
