Sept. 26 (Bloomberg) -- Sidley Austin LLP, the 11th-biggest U.S. law firm, named six partners to its executive committee and three to its management committee.
Brian J. Fahrney, Craig A. Griffith, Jennifer C. Hagle, Matthew Sheridan, Susan A. Stone and Effie Vasilopoulos were appointed to the executive committee, the Chicago-based firm said today in a statement distributed by Business Wire. Larry A. Barden, Mark D. Hopson and Larry J. Nyhan were placed on the management committee, the firm said.
The 49-member executive committee exercises general authority over the firm’s affairs, according to the statement. The 11-person management committee runs day-to-day activities. Thomas A. Cole is chairman of the executive committee. Charles W. Douglas is chairman of the management committee.
Sidley Austin, with more than 1,500 attorneys, ranks 11th in size by lawyers among U.S. law firms, according to the National Law Journal, a trade publication.
