Sept. 14 (Bloomberg) -- Turkish central bank governor Erdem Basci said any deterioration in the inflation outlook won’t be tolerated.
Basci spoke at a conference in Istanbul yesterday and the speech, focused on commodity prices, was published on the central bank’s website today.
The governor was commenting on the second-round effects on inflation of commodity price increases, saying “deterioration in the inflation outlook will not be tolerated.”
Global commodity prices are expected to stay volatile and the medium-term outlook is hard to predict, he said.
