Mozambique Cellular Says Starts a Mobile-Banking Service

Sept. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Mozambique Cellular, the country’s biggest mobile-phone operator, started a phone-banking service, known as mKesh, it said.

The state-controlled company will hold a 70 percent stake in Carteira Movel SA, which will operate the service, with the remainder held by the state’s property management agency, Mozambique Cellular said in an e-mailed statement today.
