South Africa’s July Monthly Budget Deficit at 44.1 Billion Rand

Aug. 30 (Bloomberg) -- South Africa posted a budget deficit of 44.1 billion rand ($6.2 billion) in July, compared with a surplus of 12.6 billion rand in June, the National Treasury said.

Tax revenue fell 4.7 percent to 41.2 billion rand from a year earlier, while expenditure rose 14 percent to 85.2 billion rand, the Pretoria-based Treasury said on its website today.
