Hynix Semiconductor Shares Rise After Memory Chip Prices Climb

Aug. 29 (Bloomberg) -- Hynix Semiconductor Inc. gained as much as 4.2 percent in Seoul trading after computer-memory chip prices rose. Shares in Hynix traded up 2.8 percent to 18,450 won as of 9:13 a.m., while the benchmark Kospi index climbed 1.2 percent. The price of the benchmark DDR3 2-gigabit DRAM rose 3.1 percent Friday, according to data from Taipei- based Dramexchange Technology Inc., operator of Asia’s largest spot market for semiconductors.
