Elliott Management Says It Has 8.5 Percent Stake in Brocade

Aug. 16 (Bloomberg) -- Elliott Management Corp. said in a regulatory filing that it has an 8.5 percent stake in Brocade Communications Systems Inc., a maker of switches for data- storage networks.
Elliott Management, a hedge fund investor, held 40.8 million shares of San Jose, California-based Brocade as of Aug. 5, according to an Aug. 15 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
