Niger Gets 25 Million-Euros Grant From EU to Reduce Poverty

July 19 (Bloomberg) -- The European Union will give Niger a 25 million-euro grant to help the country reduce poverty and meet the Millennium Development Goals, said Andris Piebalgs, the European Commissioner for Development.

“This payment embodies the full resumption of our cooperation with Niger,” Piebalgs said in an e-mailed statement today.
