Kenya Power Seeks 25% Increase in Tariffs, Business Daily Says

June 29 (Bloomberg) -- Kenya Power Ltd., the East African nation’s sole electricity distributor, is seeking regulatory approval to increase its tariffs by as much as 25 percent, Business Daily reported.

The proposed increase would raise monthly consumer power bills by an average of 400 shillings ($4.44), the Nairobi-based newspaper said, citing people it didn’t identify.
