Ghana Buys 23,000 Tons of Cocoa From Farmers in Week to June 16

June 29 (Bloomberg) -- Ghana bought 23,000 metric tons of cocoa from farmers in the week through June 16, the first week of the light crop season, said Kwabena Asante-Poku, the deputy chief executive officer of Ghana Cocoa Board.

Purchases from farmers for the 12-week season will probably reach about 80,000 tons, Asante-Poku said in a phone interview today.
