Italy Finance Minister Tremonti May Resign, Repubblica Says

June 28 (Bloomberg) -- Italian Finance Minister Giulio Tremonti may resign following criticism by members of the government coalition over his budget measures, daily la Repubblica reported, without saying where it got the information.

Lorenzo Bini Smaghi, who is due to leave his position as European Central Bank Executive Board member, may be called on to replace Tremonti, the Italian newspaper reported.
