June 23 (Bloomberg) -- The following stocks may rise or fall in South Africa today. Symbols are in parentheses and prices are from the last close.
The FTSE/JSE Africa All Share Index declined 179.01, or 0.6 percent, to 30,792.87 at the 5 p.m. close in Johannesburg.
Anglo American Plc (AGL SJ): The diversified mining company that makes up 10 percent of the benchmark stock index holds a Trade Fair event for small businesses. Chief Executive Officer Cynthia Carroll will address a media briefing. Anglo shares rose 89 cents, or 0.3 percent, to 318.89 rand.
Avusa Ltd. (AVU SJ): The publisher of South Africa’s largest weekend broadsheet newspaper publishes earnings results for the year ended March. The stock was unchanged at 24.25 rand.
Platmin Ltd. (PLN SJ): The platinum mining company holds a shareholders’ meeting. The shares lost 11 cents, or 2.2 percent, to 4.79 rand.
