June 22 (Bloomberg) -- Mauritius’s trade deficit widened 31 percent in April from a year earlier, the Central Statistics Office said.
The trade gap was 7.5 billion rupees compared with 5.71 rupees a year earlier, the Port Louis-based agency said in a statement on its website today. Imports advanced to 12.96 billion rupees from 11.36 billion rupees a year earlier while exports declined to 5.47 billion rupees from 5.66 billion rupees, it said.
